Congratulations to Karina Gonzalez on being invited to the '04 Girls ID2 camp (12/6-12/9) in Casa Grande, Arizona for consideration on the US Girls National Team.
Here is a brief bio about Karina:

Karina has been a member of COSC for the last two years and attends NorCal PDP trainings in the bay area once a month. Karina has passion for the game and enjoys spending time training "off" the field, viewing film & professional games, reading soccer related books and working on technical/tactical skills with teammates . Karina is co-captain on the NPL1 '02 Odyssey girls team. Last, as a freshman, she earned a position on the girls Varsity team for San Joaquin Memorial High School where she maintains a 4.0 GPA.
Her are some comments from a former coach:
I coached Karina initially when she was u-10. Her father was concerned about playing time as my team had a lot of talent. I assured him I saw something special in her. She developed so quickly on the team that she became a starter and played the whole game. Her game awareness and leadership playing 2 years up on my team is unheard of. Her technical/tactical talents are sound. I have coached a lot of players throughout the years with great talent but none have had the discipline and work ethic to go to the next level that Karina has. There’s always going to be players with talent but talented players fall short unless they have discipline. She is so competitive but in a positive manner she will actually shed a tear if she doesn’t win in practice or in games. That is what makes her special I wish her the best at the ID2 and it’s been a pleasure coaching her once again.
