California Odyssey’s
Division 3 Program
California Odyssey is announcing the 2nd Season of our Division 3 Program. The first year was a big success, having 5 teams finish 3rd place or higher in league play!
The Odyssey Division 3 Program offers an opportunity for coaches, players, and teams to coach and play at a higher level, while not having the overwhelming travel or time commitment that Division 1 soccer requires.
Team Formation:
All Star Coaches are encouraged to bring their All Star teams to tryouts.
Tryouts will be held for all players.
Teams may be formed by High School District (dependant on number of players and/or proximity at tryouts).
Coaches and Player Identification:
Coaches and players will be able to sign up for the Division 3 Program through tryouts held in March (2009 dates to be announced in early February).
Coaches are volunteers and chosen by the Division 3 Director. Coaches will be Odyssey Coaches, attend Odyssey Coaches Clinics and Meetings, and required to follow all Club rules and regulations.
Program Cost:
$270 Per Player (Includes two uniforms and Paid Entry to Association Cup).
League Details:
Teams will play in the District 7 Don Hawkins Playing League. The majority of games will be played in Clovis, with limited travel to the Visalia/Hanford area.
Program Supervision:
The Odyssey Division 3 Program will be overseen by Josh Duffy. Duffy will continue to help develop the Division 3 Coaches and D3 Program.
Age-Group Eligibility:
Girls and Boys, U12, U14, U16, U19. Teams may have Mixed Age-Groups (U13’s w/ U14’s, etc.).
