Xavier has been involved with soccer since its inception in the Clovis area in the early 1970’s.He played in the Clovis Junior Soccer League and thereafter played for Clark Intermediate and Clovis High School.After high school, he played in multiple leagues.
Xavier grew up in a soccer family.His father and mother coached teams in the Clovis Junior Soccer League and his brother and two sisters played soccer beginning in elementary school through high school.

Xavier is married and has four children.Although Xavier’s oldest son no longer plays soccer, his son continues to be involved with soccer by refereeing recreational games.Xavier’s second son and only daughter currently play for California Odyssey.Xavier’s youngest son plays in a recreational soccer league.
Xavier first coached as an assistant coach in the early 1980’s.He then coached for the Cedarwood Soccer Club in the late 1990’s through early 2000’s and held several board positions, including the position of president for two seasons.Thereafter, Xavier coached for the Freedom Soccer Club and coached the CJSL’s Blue Unit Girls U9 All-Stars in 2006.
Xavier began coaching for California Odyssey as an assistant coach for the U11 Girls White team in 2007.He continued coaching as an assistant coach for the U11 Girls Red team in 2008 and the U12 Girls Red team in 2009.
In 2009, Xavier was co-coach for the U13 Boys ODP District VII CYSA-North team.
In 2010, Xavier was the coach for the California Odyssey U10 Girls Red team and an assistant coach for the U13 Girls Red team.
Xavier also coaches at Reyburn Intermediate.He coached the 7th Grade Girls Soccer Team in 2009 and the 8th Grade Girls Soccer Team in 2010.
Xavier was employed in the insurance industry for over 23 years as a technical specialist and handled commercial litigated claims until October 2009.Presently, Xavier is attending National University and working on completing work toward a single-subject teaching credential.
