Xavier has been involved with soccer since its inception in the Clovis area in the early 1970’s. He played in the Clovis Junior Soccer League and thereafter played for Clark Intermediate and Clovis High School. After high school, he played in multiple leagues. Xavier’s father and mother coached in the Clovis Junior Soccer League and his brother and two sisters played soccer through high school.
Xavier is married and has four children. Although Xavier’s oldest son no longer plays soccer, his oldest son has continued to be involved with soccer by refereeing recreational games for the last three seasons. Xavier’s second son and only daughter currently play for California Odyssey. Xavier’s youngest son continues to play recreational soccer.
Xavier coached for the Cedarwood Soccer Club in the late 1990’s through early 2000’s and held several board positions, including the position of president for two seasons. Thereafter, Xavier has coached for the Freedom Soccer Club and California Odyssey. Xavier also coached the CJSL’s Blue Unit Girls U9 All-Stars in 2006.
Xavier was employed in the insurance industry for over 23 years as a technical specialist that handled commercial litigated claims until October 2009. Presently, Xavier is attending National University to obtain his single-subject teaching credential.
