Nader Badawi has been actively involved in the soccer community as a player, referee and coach for over 25 years.He holds a USSF national “B” license, has coached in the ODP program, and a staff instructor coaching courses for CYSA.He has coached both boys and girls teams from U10 to high school varsity, including a valley championship. Recently, with Nader coaching, the U15 boy’s team won both the 2008 US Club Soccer National Cup in Virginia and the 2008 USL Super Y-League National Cup in Florida, in addition to being 2009 CYSA State Cup finalist, 2009 Nor-Cal State Cup Semi Finalist, and U.S. Developmental Academy U15/16 National finalist.Currently Nader is a staff coach in the U.S. Developmental Academy, the director of Boys U13 –U19 and the Pre-Academy Identification and Development program.
Nader started his soccer career in Sudan, and Kuwait, where he learned the game of soccer as a young athlete.In the U.S., Nader continued his career, playing for semi professional clubs and college as well as officiating youth, armature, professional and college games. As a Fresno State men’s soccer team alumni and a parent of student athletes, he believes in building great character through the game of soccer.
Nader believes by joining California Odyssey Soccer club, athletes can increase their chances to earn a college education while playing the game of soccer at their prospective colleges, also increasing their chances to be recognized by the U.S. National team coaching staff.
